Karen McKibbin, Psy.D.
Co-Founder & Executive Director
Licensed Clinical Psychologist


Dr. McKibbin graduated from Pacific University in Oregon in 2007 with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She completed her internship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute at John Hopkins in Baltimore, MD and completed her postdoctoral training at the Autism Clinic at OHSU in Portland, Oregon. She is a founding partner of the Portland Autism Center, which was opened in 2011. 

Dr. McKibbin has also spent time working with Dr. Tony Attwood in his clinics in Australia and is the author of a book titled "Life on the Autism Spectrum: A Guide for Girls and Women." Dr. McKibbin provides a number of trainings and workshops about topics pertaining to individuals on the autism spectrum. 

Dr. McKibbin provides comprehensive psychological services to children, adolescents and adults with a diagnosis on the autism spectrum. She specializes in treating older children, teens, and adults with Asperger's Disorder and High Functioning Autism who also have co-occurring diagnoses (e.g. mood and anxiety disorders). Dr. McKibbin also has experience in working with food selectivity and restricted diets among children across the autism spectrum.

Matt Lundeberg, Psy.D.
Clinical Director
Licensed Clinical Psychologist


Dr. Lundeberg graduated from William James College in Newton, Massachusetts in 2016 with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He completed his internship at The Brenner Center for Psychological Assessment & Consultation in Boston/Newton, Massachusetts and at the Roger William University Counseling Center in Bristol, Rhode Island. Dr. Lundeberg completed his postdoctoral training at Reed College’s Health and Counseling Center in Portland, Oregon.

Dr. Lundeberg provides therapeutic as well as assessment services to children, adolescents, and young adults, including those with moderate to high functioning autism spectrum disorders, ages 8 and up.  His work focuses on the treatment of adolescents and young adults both on and off the autism spectrum dealing with a variety of mental health difficulties.  Dr. Lundeberg has a background in the treatment of adolescent males struggling with typical social/sexual development, older adolescents navigating the developmental transition into adulthood, and working with members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Joshua Dow, M.D.
Medical Director
Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatrist

Dr Dow graduated from Stanford University and completed medical school at the University of Washington.  He then specialized in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry at Oregon Health and Science University.  He is board certified in both child/adolescent and adult psychiatry. He has extensive clinical experience with individuals with behavioral challenges, anxiety and mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and other neurodevelopment conditions. He also works with facing death across the lifespan, including parents or children with life-threatening illnesses.

Jeffrey York, M.Ed., L.M.F.T.
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Jeffrey York graduated from Régent University in Virginia Beach, VA with a Masters in Education focusing in the field of Special Education. He graduated from the Lewis and Clark College in 2014 with a Masters in Marriage, Family, and Couples therapy and completed his internship at Louis and Clark Community Counseling Center in Portland.

As a systemic therapist he utilizes experiential, alternative and mindful therapies. Mr. York pairs a frank and friendly approach, creating opportunity for growth, transformation, and healing in his clients’ lives. He values contemplating both past and present to facilitate new perspectives and change. In times of crisis, Mr. York provides a fertile ground for healing and personal growth with an emphasis on compassion, sensitivity and collaboration.

Mr. York works with adolescents and adults, families, and couples both on and off autism spectrum. He also works with a variety of other mental health issues including anxiety, depression, complex PTSD and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Nico Russo
Intern

Nico Russo has been with PAC as our intern since 2017. He currently studies Sociology at PSU & intends to peruse his dream of counseling and mentoring people with ASD.

What makes Nico unique is that he was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome when he was 4 years old & he is very open talking about his condition.

In his free time Nico enjoys spending time with family, getting to                                                                                                                                      know other people and spending time outdoors when the weather      
allows.
